چکیده

Mustard is Bangladesh's leading oil crop, produced only during the winter (rabi) season. The sowing date a key factor determining mustard's optimum growth and development. Because of global warming, gradual changes in season weather parameters over time creating challenge mustard cultivation. Thus, present investigation assessed role different planting dates on several modern varieties to disclose indicators necessary for elevated biological yield (BY) harvest index (HI). Three times, viz. 31st October (D1), 10th November (D2), 20th (D3) six Binasarisha-4 (V1), Binasarisha-9 (V2), Binasarisha-10 (V3), BARI Sarisha-14 (V4), Sarisha-16 (V5), Sarisha-17 (V6) were put replicated factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) rabi 2019 at BINA Sub-station farm, Magura. At final stage, outcomes depicted that highest lowest total dry mass (g/plant) was by treatment D3× V5 (64.03) D1× V1 (15.34), maximum minimum absolute rate (mg/plant/day) (2389.10) D2× (184.50), most least relative (mg/g/day) V4 (53.34) (3.55), crop (g/m2/day) with V3 (55.60) (20.04). BY peak (8.13, 8.71, 8.77 t/ha) under all plantings (D1, D2, D3) variety, but HI (44.96%) variety D2 sowing. Therefore, correlation studies showed significant positive relationship between index. Overall, performed well three remarkably, rising delayed case Binasarisha-9, Binasarisha-10, Sarisha-14. This implies might not hamper boost some extent.

Seed viability, germination and seedling growth of canola (Brassica napus L.) as influenced by chemical mutagens

Mutation induction is considered as an effective way to enrich plant genetic variation, particularly for traits with a very low level of genetic variation. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effect of different dosages of chemical mutagens on seed germination, seed viability and seedling growth characteristics and to identify optimum treatment conditions for chemical mutagens bas...

Development and validation of a real-time PCR method for the simultaneous detection of black mustard (Brassica nigra) and brown mustard (Brassica juncea) in food.

The paper presents a real-time PCR method allowing the simultaneous detection of traces of black mustard (Brassica nigra) and brown mustard (Brassica juncea) in food. The primers and the probe target the B. nigra partial RT gene for reverse transcriptase from gypsy-like retroelement 13G42-26. The real-time PCR method does not show any cross-reactivity with other Brassicaceae species with the ex...
